Growth Hormone’s Function

No matter if you’re an avid runner, weekend warrior, or just looking to get the most out of your body, we can help give you that competitive edge. Improve the way you feel and the way you recover safely while increasing your body’s growth hormone production.

Growth hormone (GH) is a hormone that is released from the pituitary gland which is located at the base of the brain. GH is essential for growth and development in humans, it allows us to grow to our adult height, develop muscle, promoting energy and development of proper cognitive function. In our early 20’s, when our body’s reach maturity, growth hormone levels decrease.

If GH levels are too high in humans we can develop a syndrome known as acromegaly which can cause increase thickness of the bones of the jaw, fingers and toes, resulting heaviness of the jaw and increased size of digits. This excessive growth can cause excessive pressure on the nerves (which can lead to carpel tunnel syndrome), muscle weakness, increased sweating, insulin resistance and reduced sexual function.

Growth Hormone vs. Growth Hormone Releasing Peptides

  • As noted above, excessive levels of growth hormone can cause a lot of negative side effects, which is why it is dangerous to directly replace growth hormone as we age. Luckily, growth hormone releasing peptides (GHRP) have been developed which act upon the pituitary gland. GHRP cause the pituitary to release GH in the body, but it also allows the body to regular GH levels so that they do not get too high. This allows us to safely increase GH levels with no risk of levels becoming too high.

  • The table below gives a comparison between GH and GHRP supplementation.

Give Your Body What It Needs

  • In addition to GHRP we offer additional nutrients and supplements to support your performance. We use specific supplements and nutrients to help you increase your ability in whichever area you need; strength, speed, performance, concentration.

  • Just like everything else good in life, it takes some time to see the full results of treatment. Within the first 4-8 weeks you should begin to see and feel some changes. You should feel more well rested with the same amount of sleep, you may feel less sore as your body recovers quicker from workouts, and you should have an improvement in your mentation, body composition and quality of your skin. The wait is well worth it with this treatment.
