IV Micronutrient Therapy

Keep Glowing Medical Spa

IV Micronutrient Therapy

IV micronutrient therapy allows us to deliver certain vitamins and minerals into the body without having to rely on the stomach and gut for absorption. When we orally take vitamins and minerals our gut will only absorb a certain amount, some of these are broken down by the liver, and excreted, before they even get to the rest of the body. With IV therapy we bypass the gut absorption and liver excretion of the contents which allows your body to get the full effect of the elements we are delivering. We offer a multitude of services, which can be found below, both in our office and locally in your home or office.

Give your body the boost it needs

  • We can extract the PRP (platelet rich plasma) and associated growth factors as described on here (link to PRP page) and we inject the PRP directly into the scalp. The procedure is mildly uncomfortable during the injections. Hair products and topical treatments must be held after this treatment, your provider will cover the details regarding this at your initial visit. This treatment can be used on both men and women for hair loss and thinning hair. Studies have shown a positive therapeutic effect on both male and female pattern hair loss with no remarkable side effects.

  • This treatment can also be helpful for those that have patchy areas of hair growth on their face when growing a beard. PRP can be injected directly into these areas to stimulate the growth of hair, reducing or eliminating patchy areas in your beard.

  • Clients usually require 4 sessions at 4 week intervals with a booster session at 6 months. You may require more or less sessions.

  • Full information on PRP therapy can be found here (link to PRP page)

Topical Therapy

  • If you suffer from hair loss or thinning, chances are you have read about, or used, some of the over the counter topical  hair loss solutions like Rogaine. You may have had some success, but not the results you wish, or saw no results at all. Sometimes hair regeneration requires more than just one medication to help regrowth, unfortunately these medications are available only by prescription.

  • At Keep Glowing Medical Spa we work closely with a specialty pharmacy which allows us to bring our clients advanced, compound, topical medications which can help with hair restoration. These medications can be delivered, discretely, to your home or office. We can combine topical therapy’s with PRP therapy to optimize results.

Oral therapies

  • There are multiple prescription medications that help treat or slow hair loss. These medications are available by prescription only. These medications, as with all other medications, do carry side effects. As part of our consultation process we will review these side effects and discuss the risks vs benefits of treatment with oral medications. If there is a consensus that an oral medication would provide to be beneficial to you, our providers can prescribe the medications.
