Botox

Cosmetic Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA approved medication to temporarily decrease the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines. At Keep Glowing Medical Spa we assess each client, their medical history and their goals prior to all treatments. We are very conservative when it comes to injectable neurotoxins, we do not want to give anyone a “frozen” look unless they truly desire that look. This is why we always start with the lowest recommended dose, we can always have you come back to add more botox, but once it is injected we can’t remove it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need B12 injections?

The only way to diagnose vitamin deficiency is via comprehensive blood work. B12 is found in our diet, typically in red meats. If you do not consume red meats then you may be deficient in B12. If you are dieting, have had weight loss surgery, or want to give your body a boost, you can benefit from B12 injections.

What are the symptoms of B12 deficiency?

If you are deficient you may suffer from anemia, depression, decline in mental function, decrease visual acuity and, in extreme cases, neuropathy.

Can I overdose on B12?

No, B12 is a water soluble vitamin, if the concentrations in the blood are too high, the excess will be urinated out.

How are injections different from oral supplements?

Injections avoid the digestive system which allows B12 to be delivered to the body quickly, and more effectively, then taking oral supplements.

Xeomin

Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is similar to Cosmetic Botox as it is used for the temporary reduction of the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines. Xeomin has undergone the same FDA testing and clearance as Botox and all other neurotoxins. Xeomin is just as safe as any other neurotoxin on the market.

Frequently asked questions

How is an Aquagold Facial performed?

This treatment uses a small vial that has very tiny, 24-karat gold, needles attached to it. We fill the vial with Botox, and other anti-aging products, and penetrate the first lays of the skin. The solution in the vial is delivered into the superficial layers of the skin which allows for better local absorption, and long lasting local activity.

What results can I expect?

Depending on your goals we can achieve an improvement in fine lines & wrinkles, skin elasticity, restore facial volume and improve acne scars.

Does it hurt?

The needles we use are very short and fine so the treatment carries minimal discomfort. If we are treating more sensitive areas, such as the upper lip, we can apply topical anesthetic to decrease discomfort.

Is there any downtime?

There is no downtime after this procedure, you can return to your regular activities after treatment.

Frequently asked questions

What is the process of PRP therapy?

PRP therapy starts with drawing a tube of blood from the client. That blood is spun at high speed in a centrifuge with a separating medium that helps separate the platelet rich plasma and associated growth factors from the red blood cells and other growth factors. The PRP is then extracted from the tube into syringes and the PRP is injected into the scalp.

Is there any downtime?

There is no downtime associated with this treatment. You may have some small areas of bleeding, scabbing or bruising but these resolve quickly. Your provider will discuss comprehensive aftercare instructions with you at your appointment

Does the treatment hurt?

The treatment may be uncomfortable when the PRP is injected but there is no long term pain.

How many treatments will I need?

We suggest 4 treatments at 1 month intervals for best results. Maintenance treatments may be required.

Are there any risks?

The fact that we are using your own blood products make this treatment very safe. The risk of your body reacting against your PRP is very very low, there is no risk of vessel occlusion and the procedure is performed with sterile material so risk of infection is very low.

Aquagold Facial

This treatment originated in South Korea, which has one of the most advanced and progressive aesthetic markets in the world. This treatment combines microneedling with the infusion of botox, growth factors, and other essential elements into the superficial layers of the skin leaving the muscles unaffected. The microneedling action facilitates fibroblast activation which improves skin elasticity through collagen stimulation. We add botox which helps paralyze the tiny muscles around the pores which will decrease their size and the secretion of excessive oils. This treatment can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles but also reduces the size of the pores. This treatment can be beneficial for people who have acne prone skin, but anyone who wants to have smoother appearing skin and have an easier time applying makeup can benefit from this treatment.

PRP Injections

PRP, or platelet rich plasma, is the process of isolating the portion of your blood containing the platelets, plasma and growth factors, harvesting them and re-introducing them into your body. By extracting and isolating the PRP from whole blood, it allows us to deliver the blood products, and growth factors, to other areas of the body. This causes an acceleration of the natural healing process of the body, but in a localized area.
