Is The Battery Running Low?

The hormone health network states that the term “adrenal fatigue” is used to explain a group of symptoms that occur in people who are under long-term mental, emotional or physical stress and the stress becomes too much for the body to handle.

Our adrenal glands produce a hormone called cortisol, during times of stress our adrenal glands produce extra cortisol. If you are experiencing a period of long-term stress your body is producing excessive cortisol, but it can only keep up with this high level of production for so long before they cannot keep up with this production. When the adrenal glands can’t keep up the high level of production, you experience a crash, we call this crash adrenal fatigue.
